ABSTRACT

In order to explore the role of the opening and sharing management mode (OSMM) of undergraduate experiment teaching instruments in fostering talents under the "Double first-class" initiative, the importance of laboratory information management system (LIMS) in the OSMM was discussed, in light of the experience and shortcomings of developing an OSMM in the experimental teaching center of environment and ecology college at Xiamen university. Some approaches were put forward to promote OSMM development and improve the utility of teaching equipments, so as to maximize the utility of the instruments, guarantee the regular teaching and scientific research, promote the sustainable and healthy development of colleges and universities, and achieve the desirable progress of the ongoing national "Double first-class" initiative.

ABSTRACT

Objective To establish the central tube preparation system for the blood samples from hospitalized patients in clinical laboratories and explore its application value.Methods A central tube preparation system for clinical specimen was researched and developed.The system was directly connected with the laboratory information management system (LIMS) and hospital information management system (HIMS) for monitoring and tracking management on-line with standardization,intellectualization and informatization during the whole process of collection,detection and report of clinical specimens.Results The central tube preparation system for blood samples from hospitalized patients in clinical laboratories was successfully established.The development and application of this system optimized the blood collection process,avoided incidental human mistakes in traditional blood collection process,realized the real-time monitoring of the clinical samples during the whole process and reduced the labor intensity of nurses.Therefore,the working efficiency and degree of clinical satisfaction were increased greatly.Conclusion The developed system could process the specimens intelligently,improve the management level of hospital and department and provide guarantee for standardized management of clinical laboratories.

ABSTRACT

Objective To establish a networked information management system for clinical laboratories in community of Suzhou and evaluate its clinical application.Methods Based on dedicated network of public health information in Suzhou City,laboratory information management system (LIS) and hospital information management system (HIS),the management for centralized detections of clinical samples from the health institutions of intra-regional community were performed as the key mission,and a regional,networked and informationized management system was designed for the clinical laboratories of community.Results The informationized management of whole process including test application,specimen collection,delivery and receiving,report releasing and payment,etc.was achieved on line.The information of clinical laboratories among the communities was transferred and shared in whole Suzhou City.Conclusion The established system should be safe,convenient and efficient online network-based information management system between the Suzhou clinical laboratory center and the laboratories in each local community,by which the centralized detections in the clinical laboratories of community could be performed readily.

ABSTRACT

Objective To design the ISO15189 management information middleware based on laboratory information management system (LIS) and evaluate its application.Methods The ISO15189 management information middleware was designed based on LIS and the middleware technology as underlaying platform,and the multifunction management of LIS was implemented by the data warehouse technology and the data cleaning and extraction technology.Results The designed middleware made LIS implement the functions such as data exchange and transmission,data sharing,and data intelligence processing ISO15189 management information across multiple systems.It constructed a data warehouse by extracting,transforming,and loading useful data from multiple profession systems in laboratories,and flexibly presented data to the users by operating multidimensional data set from various aspects.Conclusion The ISO15189 management information middleware based on LIS has high value in the management of ISO15189 accredit,which may make the management work more standard,efficiency,and intelligence.

ABSTRACT

Objective To establish an automatic warning program which accommodates to the test procedures in medical laboratory centerand and to put into operation.Methods Based on laboratory information management system (LIS),automatic warning program was established,which composed of maintenance of warning rules,feedback of vulnerabilities in rules,solutions of feedback targets and evaluation of ride-effectiveness.The results of performance were assessed after operation for six months in Guangzhou Kingmed Medical Laboratory Center.Results An automatic warning program containing 13 kinds of rule templates was successfully established.The multi-point warning program via asynchronous structure for six specialized testing procedures was realized.A total of 1 523 warning rules were included in the rule bank and 24 000 reports were verified on average each day.The average passing rate of reports was 70.2% and the passing rate of single test was 83.9%.The approval time for reports was reduced by 10 to 40 minutes compared with that without using the automatic warning program.The efficiency for report approval was improved by 25 percent.Conclusion Automatic warning program may ensure the high quality of test reports,ease pressure on staff and improve work efficiency.

Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is an information management tool that combines modern management concepts with database-centric computer technology. At present, LIMS has been widely used in a number of laboratories at home and abroad. Exploring LIMS in the TCM research laboratory design ideas can help the TCM research laboratory informatization and modernization. Therefore, this article from the analysis on the characteristics of TCM research laboratories, put forward to the design idea of TCM research laboratories LIMS of setting research business processes and experimental business processes as the main body, with two kinds of business process interactions as a supplement; expounded the significance of implementation of TCM research laboratories LIMS to enhance the level of laboratory management, data reliability and work efficiency;discussed the problems that should be paid attention to in the implementation process.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore how to optimize laboratory work flow in regional laboratory information management system (LIS) .Methods Upgraded both software and hardware ,reduced manual operation ,and to avoid the mistake and improve the effi‐ciency .Results Compared to the original process ,the optimized one reduces the time line by 57% .Furthermore ,time cost of other individual processes ,such as patient information input ,sample collection and sample classification were also shortened significantly . Conclusion By work flow rebuilding ,we not only improved the efficiency of laboratory work by saving time cost ,but also reduced the error rate ,which finally satisfied our patients .

ABSTRACT

Computer Forensics World is a growing community of professionals involved in the digital forensics industry. It is an open resource, free for all to access and to use. Digital investigations and crime regularly cross international and language borders today. Open database connectivity technology is now providing access to a wide range of database technologies, such as neural networks and pattern recognition databases, which are being used to analyze shoe prints and tool marks. These new computer-aided analysis tools can link and chart case information, allowing the investigator to question the data and pose scenarios as well as suggest and follow possible investigative paths. As a result, connections that often took weeks or months to come to light are revealed in a fraction of the time. Forensics is just beginning to get looked at, but the problems are cost and government is slow to adopt new technology. In this paper we discussed about the kingdom of Digital Forensics and Computer Forensic World. The study consists of Computer Forensic World, Digital Forensics (MEK, AFF, and Keyword Search etc.), and the Future Forensics Labs.
